EXTRANEOUS MATTER ANALYSIS

Market Survey: SEX HERBS
How much FILTH are you getting with your SEX?

We posted results of Herbal Supplements in November 2000. These were classified as supplements with health producing properties. Sex Herbs are more popular and more expensive, but are they free of insects and rodents?

Sample size: We took the FDA approach for sample size, that is, when they test a consumer product, they would test the entire consumer package. This is why you will see different sample weights. Five samples were tested representing four popular sex herbs.

Results:

Saw Palmetto:
(30 grams)
5 insect fragments

Horny Goat Weed:
(33 grams)
11 insect fragments

Blend: Wild Yam, Catuaba Bark, Muira Puama
(40 grams)

4 insect fragments

Yohimbe Bark:
(53 grams)
9 insect fragments

Yohimbe Bark:
(87 grams)
16 insect fragments
2 rodent hairs (2 mm)

Opinion:
Like our previous report on Herbs, this industry has a long way to go to give you clean product.
